We had a friend taks a trans-Atlantic cruise that move the ship from the Caribbean to Northern Europe (I think), and it was a bargain.
Of course, you were stuck on the ship the entire time and the seas were rougher, but she enjoyed it...

Could be but for a first time cruiser do not think I would recommend lots of sea days
