All three places that have closed in SS in the last year (Margarita Republic, Gators Dockside, and World of Beer), all seem to have a couple things in common. They all were primarily bars that served mediocre pub food and had very inconsistent service. Also, they all attracted younger crowds and tended to have patrons who showed up in the later hours police reports.
I doubt that many Villages residents will miss those establishments, but the three prime town square vacancies certainly are an eyesore. Hopefully the spaces can be filled with reputable businesses and won’t wind up as apartments.
