He has never damaged a hole on the green using this method. I have witnessed healthy, limber golfers jamb the head of their putter into the hole to flop the ball out. Now that is a problem and may a bad back issue never be yours.

Well, I had extensive lower back surgery about 2 yrs. ago and never used any device to get the ball out the cup once 2 mos. of therapy ended.
