If a birth defects produces a child of extreme flexibility or strength or lung capacity or some other advantage, is it fair to let that individual compete against , for lack of a better term, "normal" men or women who come by their abilities through hard work, dedication, training, study and sacrifice. I'm not sure it is. DSD is a special situation that may not hamper them in social situations, but the potential for abusing or misusing their special gifts. That is why men and women compete separately with different events. It is why competitors, male and female have different weight categories in combat or strength sports.
XX women. XY men. XXY, XYY, ETC special catagory?
