Otherwise (assuming it is a nice day) put it out by the curb on the afternoon before your scheduled trash pickup. There seems to be a cottage industry here (maybe several) that has people driving around neighborhoods looking for discarded items. I've discarded several items that way: a table, box of wine glasses, numerous other things. They barely last an hour.

They don't take large stuff without a call for an appointment, at least in our area (just north of 466A). $10 fee but NBD. If ONE of the 120 people
who said "I REALLY WANT IT" shows up I'll just junk it. Biggest problem seems to be for them finding transport and 2 people to help them as I won't/can't/
