They’re probably escaping saturated soil and finding a way in. So these are earth worms vs millipedes or anything with legs…right? Millipedes might travel farther once inside….

More than likely, they are entering the home thru small holes in walls, windows, doors.

Finding where is your challenge.

I’d start by finding out if it’s one area/room that they’re getting in by or numerous rooms. Once you’ve narrowed down the room, check for the holes. And yes, they can climb up walls.

Sounds like you have a challenge ahead of you.
