I have no idea what type of lanai drains you have, but I have found that in many installations the bottom lanai aluminum member is sealed to the floor. Many others have suggested breaking this seal and allowing the water to drain out. I have done this with 1/16 inch by 1 inch aluminum strips cut 2.25 inches long. I loosened the screws into the concrete, pried up the aluminum strip, inserted the new pieces, and retightened the screws. Over the last several months this has worked great. The gap is small enough to keep out most of the animals and the water drains out nicely. Also this cleans very easily when i power wash the lanai.
