Before my husband and I were married at Christmas time he said he wanted a cat. I was able to find a kitten, the last one left. She was a black cat, half Siamese. People really are superstitious and didn't want her. I picked her up on Christmas Eve. This was in CT and it was a cold winter day. I remember wrapping her inside of my heavy, wool coat that I was wearing as I walked her out to the car.

Less than a year later my boss had purchased a home and someone left a pregnant female cat behind. My boss tried to get her inside to have her kittens but she got away. Came back later pregnant again. This time my boss was able to get mama inside to have her kittens. There was one kitten left, a black male and nobody wanted him. I took him and he eventually became a giant love bug. So when my husband and I got married we had two black cats. Eventually we had more cats but they just happened to be other colors, a gray cat that was 1/2 Maine Coon and another cat that was a tortoise shell.
