I've adopted 2 pit bulls and found them to be among the most mellow, loving dogs that I've ever owned. They got along great with other dogs, children and our cat. If you raise the dog with love, and take it to dog parks to play with other dogs and interface with lots of people who pet it, the dog returns the love.
