Plus, the original post mentioned the "actual temp that is being read on the thermostat." It is the thermostat that is reading an inside temp of 89 while being set to 83, not a separate thermometer.

Why do people insist on making claims without looking them up first, do they really think no one will check? Proof by emphatic assertion rarely works.
