My experience with Quantum is brief, but it has been excellent.

In July I switched from Xfinity to Quantum - never had CenturyLink here. They used existing fiber that had been buried when my house was built in 2011. Tech installed newest modem and WiFi 7 router (pod). All my devices connected to the router without a problem, including one 2.4 GHz device.

My speeds have consistently been as expected - 500 Mbps near the router.

Because of the wiring in my house, the wired (primary) pod had to be installed in a room at one end of my house. After about a week of using/testing all my devices, I found that devices in the opposite end were not getting a strong 5 GHz signal. The pod would automatically change them to the 2.4 GHz band in order to maintain the strength of the connection.

I called Quantum and had a wireless (secondary) pod shipped to me. After using the app and installing it midway between the wired pod and the furthest device, all my devices stay connected with 5 GHz.

Regarding billing -- the app shows that I will be billed $55. The website shows $50. Because I am using an automatic debit to my checking account, I am billed $50/month.
