There are no days off, there is little private time inside or outside the home, the phone and emails are constantly in play. The hours in the office are a fraction of the time and effort required. At the city and county level it's not about the money, for most, it's about serving the community and wanting to make it better. For some, they come in with an agenda. If you don't know what an agenda is in the world of government, it is that individual's way of telling you what their pet project is that they want to spend your money on: we can't afford agendas.

I agree with many of you, it's time to retire and do the things we enjoy, for some of us that is still service to others.
