Back in my neighborhood when someone messed up the answer was, If you burn your butt you sit on the blister.

I gotta hand it to him. He owned it. Now what he does with the rest of his life is his to chose.

I would guess that particularly in this community of people who have lived several decades that most of us have made some big mistakes and lots of little ones. It's what we do after that that is the measure of a man....or a woman.
