Twenty years ago Hurricane Charley hit the Orlando metro area with 100+ MPH winds. It caused widespread serious damage — for one reason. There was a “build up” of trees that were ripe for wind damage. The Villages doesn’t really have a lot of trees in most of the development (so maybe safer if TV gets a direct hit).
