I walk 4 -5 miles daily and use portions of the cart path as I walk. The sidewalks in TV (or at least the parts near us) change from one side of the road to the other frequently - necessitating crossing busy streets to remain on the sidewalk.

I prefer the golf cart (multi-modal) paths that are wide with room to accommodate pedestrians as well as carts. That said - I always follow the rules (walkers on the left) and keep my head up to be sure I am not in harm's way (or your way).
