Almost never, often at the expense of my wife and I not being able to do things together. When we can’t drive to our Villages home and bring the dog, we take turns individually flying to our other home while the other stays behind with the dog. Also, there are many trips we would love to take that we don’t because of the dog. Our summer trips up north are limited to places where we can bring the dog, which makes finding both lodging and beaches we can go to very difficult. When we recently lost the last of our border collies, my preference would have been to go dog free. But when you marry someone who has been a dog trainer for most of her adult life that’s simply not an option. So we compromised and got a little 14 pound dog that can fly with us. The little fella got his wings last July when the three of us flew together for the first time to/from Orlando.
