Living here full time is a whole other kind of lifestyle than spending just a few months when it's great.

I heartily agree with this. We visited in just February; we did not experience the summer. My wife has a sensitivity to the heat here, and spends the majority of her time indoors in the summer months. If we visited also in summer, we would not have moved here.
