It started Wednesday.
The USA is the "host" and got 1st choice of "cottages" for the team. They took the biggest house.
Their opponents took the smaller house, which just happened to overlook the Driving Range and have 4 "indoor hitting bays" and a patio on the range Tee Box. They immediately set up tables, lounge chairs and music. A few decided to use the indoor hitting bays. The American ladies complained and eventually moved elsewhere ... sort of. In the meantime, the European's were having a rockin' party on their patio.
Today was the opening day ... except no fans showed up. Why? Organizers didn't provide transportation from the remote parking sites. Fans showed up at 8:30 a.m. and were told they'd have to waiting in the parking lots, for 2-3 hours, before shuttle buses would arrive.
Some folks (families, staff, etc.) were allowed to park, on-site. They arrived for the Opening Ceremonies, but along with no one else showing up, the Porto-Potties were locked and unavailable for use. Not to demean women in any way, but you know how they prefer to always have a "freshening up area", close by.
The LPGA's flagship event is an utter disaster so far. As has always been the case, the LPGA is managed by a spin off, from the "Not Ready For Prime Time Players".
Solheim Cup starts with 'complete disaster' for fans
