friends and i have disc issues, and heat is the best which I have found to relax the muscles if they start to tighten and spasm. Not sure what the MRI indicated, but for me, the MRI indicated narrowing between vertebrae, . . I can feel when the discs are compressing, and could herniate. . and I keep working on back stretches to keep any muscles looser and less prone to being tight and contracting. also work daily on keeping a stronger core.
What exercise did the MRI indicate and what did the PT have you do?
