My response was to post 4. It was intended to sound over-reactive to the claim made in post 4. Sarcasm? Yes? But with a note of truth about future energy needs as old technologies become more antiquated, costly and inefficient.
Yes. I do derive income (a few hundred $,
not thousands) from fossil fuels. I have a small, undivided percentage of oil land in Texas. As I have stated in the past, that while I do receive income from oil, that income does not blind me to the fact that there are alternative energy sources which are superior in many ways. Like an old man, which I am, enjoying a donut that he knows is not healthy or good for him, I can accept my dietary failing, but still in good conscience advocate for a healthy diet for one and all. I could sell my small share, but that wouldn't really solve anything. The extraction would continue and some one else would get the check. If I get the check, I can still afford the occasional donut with my senior coffee. Black, no cream or sugar, thanks.
