....and that’s because the viewership has accepted its mediocrity. The lights will flicker at times but the product is a shell of its former self. There has been talk that Lorne Michaels (80) is potentially stepping down at some point but it’s not his fault....it’s the network. There are so many limitations on talent, content and budget that it’s amazing he stuck around this long. His eventual memoirs will no doubt confirm this
