Apparently to replace your roof you need ARC approval. How the heck is the ARC committee going to approve hundreds of requests in addition to all the other submissions they have???

If you are repairing your roof and you can not find shingle that are an exact match is that going to be acceptable??? Will we have a bunch of roofs with patchwork?

Most insurance companies are not going to pay for a new roof replacement unless you have extensive damage.

The ARC should put out a statement that if you are replacing your shingles with ones that are similar and a color that is in line with other colors in the Villages you need not get ARC approval. With all the damages in Florida the color selection will be limited.

Any thoughts? I wonder if anyone on the ARC reads these posts.
