Most insurance companies are not going to pay for a new roof replacement unless you have extensive damage.
The ARC should put out a statement that if you are replacing your shingles with ones that are similar and a color that is in line with other colors in the Villages you need not get ARC approval. With all the damages in Florida the color selection will be limited.
Any thoughts? I wonder if anyone on the ARC reads these posts.

Compliance problems occurred when the replacement roof was a radically different color than the original. I have been recently involved in roof replacements on two homes in The Villages. Two different roofers were used. We simply told the roofers that we did not want to change colors from the original. We did not get ARC involved because we did not change the color.
