There are many reports of the thin (1.5 inch?) pavers cracking on the driveways. I have a neighbor that had them removed due to the required yearly maintenance. You have many other choices, we have painted (concrete stain) xylene based on the driveway for over 10 years, still have it in the birdcage, looks great long lasting. In any case make sure your coating of choice is NONSLIP, as there are several coatings that can be very slippery when wet. Also ask about maintenance, pavers typically require yearly maintenance including resanding and sealer. Tile will need to be discussed with an installer and will need a crack suppressant layer when applied over concrete and MUST be slip resistant.
