These gauges being an aftermarket item are actually made for a tank smaller than a 5-gallon Yamaha tank. If you don't have or want a dash gauge, then this is the best you can do as there is nothing else on the market like this drop in gauge that gives an accurate reading. Understanding that when the gauge shows empty, you still have at least a gallon of gas still in the tank, so your good for at least another 40 some miles.
