This was a rather slow movie for me with a lot of pomp and circumstance attached. I guess it would have helped while I was watching it if I had known a little more about the sport of rugby. Rugby plays a big part of this movie after the roles of Morgan Freeman's Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon's South African rugby team captain.
Only about twenty other people in the largest auditorium with me yesterday afternoon at the Old Mill Playhouse. It looked like the prior showing of
Invictus had even fewer people unless they went out the back and sides.
Invictus is the name of a poem by William Ernest Henley that Nelson Mandela talks about with the Matt Damon played character.
