IMHO, read the reviews, I always read the 1 star reviews first. Next check out the manufacturer, unfortunately there are substandard suppliers out there and these maybe subject to more frequent failures. I made the mistake of getting third party replacement batteries for my computer, they lasted around 3 months, had to get OEM battery after that.
