There are so many appraisers out there, then you check on Florida Licensing and they are expired or not even licensed. It is pretty frustrating but maybe someone will know someone. Note that you must notify IRS of the alternate valuation date by the proper form, it's not assumed or automatic. Also, this alternate date applies to all assets in the estate, and may have a tax impact on the beneficiaries. Talk with a tax advisor.
