To clarify, you do not need an internet connection in your house to watch Xfinity channels if you have an Xfinity cable box connected to the cable that enters your house. The Roku device is a streaming device that needs an internet connection, but not a cable box. If you want to stream using a Roku device, all you need is a wifi signal and a TV, not a cable box. So, Roku streaming and cable TV are two entirely different ways to watch TV. Some people mistakenly think that they need internet service to watch cable TV. They don't.
