I'm not yet interested in waiting 20+ minutes on hold to schedule a return call to ask a question.... a task for the new year.
(the 20+ minute hold was for The Villages Insurance, maybe there is a direct line to Progressive. I'll look for that in the new year as well)

My Progressive policy was scheduled for "non-renewal" on 12/3/24 after receiving notice in July. Yesterday received the letter that the cancellation was rescinded, and coverage would be renewed, so I called my agent at Villages Insurance. So, here's the story:
Governor Desantis declared most Florida counties a disaster zone. One of the results is that by law, no insurance can deny renewal during a time span that was essentially October thru December. Hence, all insurance companies, not just Progressive, that had "non-renewal" of policies during that time had to reinstate them. However......if you renew, you will be dropped after a year. Also, in my case, the renewal would be at a 65% increase in premium. Fortunately, I had already secured replacement insurance at the same price as last year
