Hello TalkoftheVillages Friends! Casandra with Pike's Electric checking in. Hope everyone is doing well! Last we checked in was after Hurricane Milton.

One of the most common calls we received after the passing hurricanes was for the exterior lighting fixtures (post head, post light, coach lights on garage).
I have already helped lots of customers recently for replacement glass, replacement fixtures, even replacement lighting packages after the storm damage.

A few things to consider:
These lighting fixtures can become brittle and go through the harsh Florida sun and weather conditions over the years. The wind gusts we experienced from Hurricane Milton, it is no surprise most people had their post lights fall over/blown away and apart.

These lighting packages also change by the manufacturers over the years. They can become discontinued, thus no parts for replacement glass are available or if a fixture breaks you may be faced with changing all of the lighting to match.
