I tried it here recently and, thanks to being financially savvy, it was a non-starter. Florida has fees galore and Uber takes 21%. Traffic makes pickups (empty car with no pay) way too long. You make less than minimum wage after gas costs and, even more so, when considering wear and tear. You’re burning up your vehicle for peanuts. The worst part? Floridians don’t tip. Do you set the ride price? If so why not build the tip into the price, and specify “ no tipping “?
