As stated, it’s a very different dynamic if you play in a group where priority is required. Otherwise, the fee is generally only worth it under three circumstances. First, if you play frequently during the busy season when the discount is significantly larger and tee times are harder to come by. Secondly, if you put a high value on specific times of the day to get your preferred tee time. Lastly, if you frequently have a lot of guests and want to get tee times with non residents in your group, especially during busy season. The third reason pi$$es me off. A priority member with guests, and many points for frequent play, still trumps residents with no points (not right IMHO)! Lastly, the whole enhanced member thing is rigged against part time residents as the fee for year round is way cheaper than paying for a partial year when the typical part timer would consider signing up. Oh well, Championship golf is not an amenity , it’s a for profit business, so what are ya gonna do?
