Default Under the pretense of being concerned about

health care reform, the latest hold out, Nelson, gets what he wants for his state in return for "caving" in. What a ruse? What a joke! Isn't that sort of flaunting the political way of Washington in the face of we the people? And the media very handy to rub it in. How stupid have we become to allow the charade(s) to continue?

Here is the article about what he did (which conveniently excludes what he got for his state):

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...900797_pf.html

Check out the second to the last paragraph on costs of the program. They continue to promote that the cuts in Medicare will offset the cost.....it will not happen....then what?
They are going to raise taxes on insurers....then what.....the insurers will pass it along to their subscribers!!!!

The Medicare system is forecast to go into bankruptcy in a few short years.
This has been know and talked about for years. Nothing was ever done about it....those same so called known high or abusive costs have been there for years with not a hint of correction. Now they want to add an unknown number to a system that is already failing.....how does that work?

Remember Amtrac? It was supposed to turn a profit shortly after being taken over by the government....that has been over 20 years ago. They are in the current budget for almost 2 billion in subsidies because they are running at a loss. Not even a thought about reducing expenses or better yet let it go back to private industry.

If someone has any insight why they believe the health care reform will be handled any differently than Washington has ever handled anything concerning money/costs....please enlighten me.

I especially want to hear from those who support the bill and why they believe the government is going to do something they have proven time and again they cannot do.....reduce costs.....eliminate waste....stop Amtrac like charades.....it is not going to happen.

I also would like to be enlightened why this legislation is proceeding with top priority against the priorities of Americans (it is third on the list)....why is it proceeding with dispatch when significantly more than 50% of Americans do not want this legislation?

I anxiously wait to be enlightened.....which as in the past won't happen either.

I am not looking forward to a Christmas Eve and Christmas morning reserved for a much higher order of celebration than Washington could ever aspire to, listening to what a great (snow) job Harry Reid and his gang pulled off
