Carts that go over the 20 mph must be classified as LSV (Low Speed Vehicals) and must be registered and insured. It's the state law. It is categoried as 'Street Legal'! If you go over the 20 mph on any roadway you can be ticketed. I have an LSV since 2010, that I have used on the on the golf courses (I have 14" tires) and on the roadways that are 35 MPG and under. My LSV has a lithium 160 ah battery that I have had for 3 years and also just charge it once a week.
