Hi,
Having an AC in the garage has one major drawback, it sweats and can increase your AC bill because the garage is super hot.
We prefer the AC in the house and we are Florida residents for 57 years.
I agree that I don't like the look in the laundry room and it takes up space where you could build a pantry. But, the AC is often best off in the house when possible.
