I agree with this assessment. I had done my own Nest thermostat in our previous house and it was relatively straightforward (two wires going to the thermostat, had to rewire it to use all 6 wires). Tried to do the same with our current house (again a Nest thermostat) and could not get it to work. Had Munns come to hook it up and it was basically a rats nest of wires in the air handler. They ended up rewiring the whole thing, technician said it was not wired correctly in the first place, the whole house humidistat was hooked up but not working.
