They are politically based and politically motivated with absolutely no regard for the great positive consequences that COULD be had for all of America.

It has been for years...that is why we are not only foreign oil dependent but more so now than the 70's when we said as a nation we were nevr going to let this happen again. Result?
We are currently more dependent than back then with an almost 100% increase in imported oil.
