Bonds in newer areas are extremely high. A buyer may want to purchase a home with no bond and remodel to their liking. The question when buying a home is: Do I want to pay a $30-70 K bond or do I want to use that money to remodel? In some cases, the decision to remodel is less costly and a smart buyer will have better quality materials.
