BUYER BEWARE. I recently hired Logan’s Landscaping to install Large chinese Palms and bamboo in our yard. Very nice guy until he gets your money. Our plants started dying almost immediately. He first response was that I was not watering enough, then I was watering too much, then it was just too must dust in the air. From one excuse to another. He begrudgingly came out and replace four plants. Followed by replacing two more. After that he went off the hook. This guy is angry, belligerent, insulting, threatening. Followed by him sending me many many insulting texts over a two day period. I never replied, but he kept sending them. I tried to pleasantly work with this gentleman but it is obvious that he has no interest in doing that. After digging around the plants I have now found that he and his crew never dug a proper size hole, never installed fertilizer and soil around the root ball. He stuck these plants directly into a sand pit then covered it all with rock, got the check and fled. I believe that being caught he knew he had no ground to stand on and needed to create a scene to refuse further service or warranty. After a month, he still has my money and I have the dead and dying plants. As a very new resident in The Villages I have learned my lesson. Talk to people who have been here for some time, get their referrals. If someone knocks at your door trying to sell you, your best bet is a polite “thank you” take their brochure and throw it away.
