I think all a President has to do is take a page from Reagan's playbook.

We really COULD do this. All we have to do is have a President with the stones to declare a "National Security Emergency" on foreign oil. If they changed the energy debate from one of cost to one of "Stop giving money to the people who want to kill us", it would work.

I wonder which is more effective. Warrantless wiretaps that run roughshod over the Constitution and subpoening library records..
