That could very well be coincidence.
It looks like the roof burned through near the highest point. Heat rises and fire climbs so the roof would burn through at that point for most any fire in the home. That the kitchen was centrally located below that point might simply be coincidence.
The large area of burned grass outside the lanai might be worth considering.
