Morels are extremely difficult to grow. I have a high school classmate, Charles Wilson, a retired MD, who has spent years developing a technique to grow them in Central Illinois. He found the best source of information is the Mycology Dept at Michigan State University. I followed Charley's travails for years before he succeeded, somewhat, last year in growing a crop.
