I also do the following, when there is traffic at a 4-way intersection:
I wait until ALL cars have passed before riding through. If someone tries to wave me on, I get off my bicycle completely and look away from whoever tried to do that.
Reason for that: YOU might want to wave me on, but the person who was at the other side of the intersection before YOU got there, might not. I don't care who has the right of way. To me - the person who can kill me easiest has the right of way.

I fully understand. More than half the stop signs in TV should be yield signs, especially where the ramp from a tunnel merges with the main MMP, or even a road crossing with clear visibility. So yes, I tend to roll through those as well. My only objection is to those "holier than thou" cyclists who can cite every little rule pertaining to cars and carts, but blatantly violate every rule that pertains to cyclists.
