We had a fair number of missionaries come by when we lived in MN. Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, etc. If they stopped by in the winter I always invited them in for coffee: I figured that if someone was suffering in that cold for free they were pretty dedicated people. Some declined, but those who accepted appreciated the warm-up.
Drove my wife nuts.
