I did not get to see the Colts-Jets game, but in the highlights the players did not look happy (at least Payton) even though they professed that they were behind the coach's decision to take them out in the third quarter. I think they wanted the win.
As long as the Colts has an undefeated record they should have gone for the win. Imagine if Shula would have rested his players. They would have never had the undefeated season. Same with Belichick. Unfortunately the Giants spoiled that for them!!
But at least he tried.
