I lived in the Tampa Bay area for 45 years and armadillos are prevalent. They dig little tiny holes in your yard looking for grubs. I had a family of them in my yard and I needed to evict them. They were
easy to catch because they don’t see very well on account of their tiny eyes. To catch them I would come up behind them and put a big garbage can over them tip it over and take them for a ride down the road to the woods. They’re very docile creatures and are a cool looking species. Love them just not in my yard.
