I did not then have access to a box trailer, which would'a been perfect! So, on two occasions I rented a 6X12 open trailer with lift gate from U-Haul. Strapped the cart down with those 2-inch webbing ratchets from Home Depot, Tractor Supply, etc., dropped the windshield, wrapped the windshield area and front end in mover's plastic from Home Depot (because even dust at 60mph will scratch the crap outta Lexan). I tied down the front and rear seats (to prevent lifting in the winds) and added a cable with lock to lock it to the trailer. Then I drove it up and back. A couple years later, I did it again for some additional work.

Seems my gas (time is free due to retirement) and trailer rental and a hotel for a few nights all cost less than having it shipped professionally or via U-Ship.

Bonus: Great adventure with some new and fun experiences.
That’s some dedication to Bering your cart to Michigan for master work. What you have done? Drop in a big block forced induction with a Dana glide and posi rear end in that thing?
