Enterprise in Sumpter Landing - you can rent a car to go to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, or Miami. You cannot return the car from Miami airport; you would have to return it in Leesburg or Ocala. Even with a reservation had to wait for car- rented an hour in advance of need.
Hertz Spanish Springs - you can rent it both ways, but you cannot return it on Sunday.
Do not forget the tolls! They add around $27 from Miami to The Villages.
Checked Brightline - too bothersome with a lot of luggage, and either Uber or Shuttle to the airport or port.
Yankee Trail shuttle does not operate this time of year; otherwise, it is the best option if you do not want to drive.
