If you have any reason to have your blood pressure tested on a regular basis, purchase one of the wrist type blood pressure machines at Walgreen's (or any other place they are sold). Take your blood pressure on a regular basis and when you go for your regular checkup with your doctor, bring your BP machine with you and check your blood pressure with your machine after the nurse does it with the house machine and see if you are at the same numbers or close to verify that your personal BP machine is accurate.
The wrist type is compact and can travel with you. No need to find a drugstore or grocery store that carries the machines.
